Having joined in 2012 Matthew is a Managing Director of Green Giraffe, is head of the
Singapore office and coordinates our business activities across the Asia-Pacific region.
Matthew’s focus is on the broader energy transition where he has a particular affection for
offshore wind
Over the past 15 years, Matthew has been supervising various fund raising transactions
including non-recourse debt raising for multiple projects. He recently restructured the
debt for a Taiwanese offshore wind farm mid-construction. He has been involved in
numerous M&A transactions, including buy- and sell-side hydrogen, solar, hydro,
bioenergy, and offshore (fixed and floating) wind projects. Matthew has also led
transactions in technology start-ups, negotiated multiple supply agreements and built
various project teams. He has worked across multiple European jurisdictions, the US and
Asia (Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and Australia)
Prior to joining Green Giraffe, Matthew worked at Renewable Energy Systems (RES), a UK
based global independent power producer and Garrad Hassan (now DNV-GL), a UK
based technical advisor
Matthew holds an MEng in aeronautics from Imperial College in London
